Elements Yoga Teacher Training

200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program
We are so excited to offer a Yoga-Alliance certified yoga teacher training program at Elements Yoga! Join Erika Cooper and special guests for this amazing experience to serve your community, your yoga practice, your friends and family, and yourself by deepening your understanding of yoga. Elements Yoga’s 200-hour yoga teacher training is based on a modular system to allow for flexibility and choice in your yoga teacher training. Because of it’s structure, we can offer the modules to both our yoga teacher trainees and to those who already have their 200-hour or greater certification and would like to earn CEUs. Let us explain…
To begin a 200-hour certification through Elements Yoga, first, you have to fill out an application and email it in or send it over. We’d like to know a little more about you!
Once you’ve been accepted to our teacher-training program, you can begin to take the modules. Each module ranges in size from 20 to 50 hours, which will take place over the course of one or two weekends, respectively. Occasionally, there will be opportunities for retreats lasting up to five days but these, like the modules, are basically up to you. There are two modules offered each month, one core module and one elective module, beginning in October, 2013.

To complete a 200-hour certification through Elements Yoga, you will be required to complete four core modules and two elective modules. The module hours reflected below are also available for CEU’s. This will consist of the following:
Core Modules
2 50-hour modules (these take place over two weekends):
(1) Asana, Alignment, Adjustments, and Assists: The nuts and bolts of teaching yoga ($450)

(2) Sequencing: Flowing from Asana to Asana: Tuning into your students in order to serve them in the best possible way ($450)
These must be completed in this order.

1 20-hour module:
The Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics of Yoga: An intro to yoga anatomy though anatomy will be taught throughout each of the modules to increase the trainee's understanding, awareness, and vocabulary of anatomy, anatomical structures, and biomechanics ($250)

1 30-hour module:
Yoga Philosophy, History, and Ethics: The subtle body and living your yoga practice on and off the mat, along with a dash of the history of yoga and historical texts of yoga ($350)

Elective Modules
*The number and range of elective modules will continue to grow and change so please check this section frequently for new elective modules being offered.
To complete your training, you will be required to choose at least two of the following:

20-hour modules:

Nada Yoga (the Yoga of Sound) ($275)
SUP Yoga ($650, includes board and paddle rental for the weekend)
Pre- and Post-natal Yoga ($275)
Restorative Yoga ($250)
Yin Yoga ($250)
Yoga and Dance Fusion ($300)
Yoga and Essential Oils ($350, includes starter kit of essential oils)
Yoga for Kids ($350)
Yoga and Meditation ($350)
Yoga for Seniors ($275)

The modules are priced $250 - $650, depending on materials and number of hours. The final cost of completion is approximately $2100 for the entire program, not including books. You can complete the modules in any order you choose, with the exception of the two 50-hour core modules, which must be completed in the order stated above. Otherwise, take the modules as they strike you to be right and on your schedule and/or as your budget allows. At present, you have two years to complete the modules, written work, and teaching hours (10) that make up the final component of this program. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email Erika at elements yoga@yahoo.com.
